I celebrated a milestone birthday at the Grotes. It couldn't have been nicer. Super delicious food, cozy atmosphere, warm and competent service. Everyone felt very comfortable and loved it. I'm looking forward to the next time. Thanks again to the nice Grotes team.

I would like to explain these 3 *, because I actually like to go back here again and again! Why? Because the food and drinks are of consistently good quality right from the start, and the salads in particular really deserve the name! They are varied, and that's what I say as a “niche salad fan” and it's the only restaurant where I actually prefer one of these (which is not to say that the other dishes aren't delicious too). So there’s a full 5 * !!!! Service is a different matter. Let me put it this way: You can be lucky once. In Germany's service desert, I'm used to a lot, but I'm actually always happy when I meet a service provider who takes this expression literally when I place an order! Because I come there because at the end of a busy day I want to get a nice finish, something delicious to eat and end the day in a friendly atmosphere and not the visibly annoyed das_is_aber_reichlich_spät_mein Freund_I would_ like_after_ home_view when entering the restaurant like yesterday at 9:15 p.m. Students receive! No, nothing against students. I also worked as a waiter as a student! And no, I wouldn't say that this is an exception in the student city of Münster. Unfortunately. But the contrast between the high-quality food and the qualitative waste in terms of service actually makes it a game of chance here again and again, as it could go today. Not that the student was not nice and friendly after I had to waving and calling through the restaurant to draw attention to us, but according to her statement, our kitchen has closed since 9 p.m. and the cook has already cleaned everything ( normal kitchen time until 10:00 p.m.) nothing further came! No excuse, no attempt to save something with a little salty biscuits, no, nothing came of it! That is really a shame, and since only students do the service in this restaurant, you should know what to expect when you visit it! In any case a delicious salad, if you are there in time! And yes, of course I know that everything is difficult in the times of Corona! But isn't that a reason to make extra efforts? I will go there far and wide, always with a certain excitement and tension :-)

Unusual evening After reservation 2 days before we met (4 people) 15 min. arrived too late at the Grotes due to a massive rain shower, but had announced this by phone in good time. When we arrived, a table was free, but basically and even without Corona, it was only suitable for 2 people. Our reference to the reservation and the call was answered with the inapplicable comment that we had reserved for outside. Fortunately, we were able to move to a larger table (of course we transported the plates / drinks ourselves). As usual, the food was very good and a treat in every respect. When settling, however, we were surprised at the amount. A not insignificant item of the predecessors at the table had been billed to us. It was largely recalculated without comment, so that looking at the performance as a whole was a bit annoying again. We didn't know that.

Great, cozy shop right on the Kreuzkirche in the beautiful Kreuzviertel. Especially the breakfast buffet (including warm dishes for lunch and the possibility to make poffertjes) and the salads are highly recommended. The price is a little more expensive, but the ingredients are mostly from the region and of good quality.

A cozy, nice shop, which I have given 4 stars. However, the prices are already salted expensive and unfortunately my food was not good yesterday. A Wiener Schnitzel for just under 22 euros ... that's quite normal. But neither the very small schnitzel nor the potato salad was somehow appealing in taste. That was 08/15. And that you have to pay anything between 6 and 7 EUR per glass for a normal red wine in MS now seems to be the new standard. No idea what you want to justify ...

Great restaurant, especially a waiter, who served me. She was not only friendly but she even helped me to type in the WiFi password. The best service ever. I would recommend this beautiful place to everyone, who does work/study or visit Münster.

A dream kitchen. Not a big menu, but very tasty. And the ambience is also charming.

We were with 10 people on a Saturday evening in the GROTES. We were more than satisfied. Nice atmosphere, very attentive and friendly service, we felt very comfortable. Really every dish (pasta, meat, salad, various desserts) was delicious and attractively presented. It was a very nice evening with you. We will definitely be back!

I was for a very long time the first time again in kreuzviertelu d thus grotes. Great place. Very nice staff and really good food. A wide selection of drinks and even specialties. A successful evening with a great view Price performance ratio ok
